When I cleared act1 I immediately when to act 2 then saved and quit. ago I believe it works online, I'm on the Xbox series X playing on the ladder style option. Gold takes place of a potential item drop which is the reason for the quest bug. Getting those SOJs is still gonna take you forever. Quest Andy kills can only drop items other than gold. The blessing of detailed technical knowledge and testing shouldn't make you artificially limit yourself.
My question is this - if you were playing through the game normally, what would you do when you reached the end of act 1 and killed andariel? I've never once quit before going through to act 2 and it's not because of the bug, it's just because that's what I naturally want to do. Whether or not those drop tables are the same as the d2 legacy andariel tables, I'm not sure, but I believe they're both the same now no matter what. But people have been saying that she doesn't drop gold/potions/trash no matter which way you do it now. I went the "bug" route on my one and only character in D2R so far just because I was cruisin through acts. I haven't looked at her drop tables or anything since I'm not sure how to do that yet. You can easily tell which table you are on, because the good table doesn’t drop gold.I haven't tested it out myself, but word on the block is that it's the same no matter what now in D2R. It was discovered early on you could easily bug Andy to stay on her “quest” drop table. How do you know it was intentional? The bottomline is that she always drops good now, we don’t need to worry about the previous “Andariel bug”. Or in other words, she is now automatically bugged for everyone - without doing anything special to “bug” her. She won’t drop gold or quivers anymore - just mostly rares. level of every item that they might plan on using a socket quest for. I have tried to intentionally bug her with a SP character and I can’t do it. The actual logic for showing item level is part of Diablo II: Resurrected itself. This has been remedied in D2R so that she now always drops well. Andariel was always meant to drop well, but in previous versions there was a way that you could inadvertently nerf her loot if you did not talk to any NPC in town before exiting.
However, i read that if you move to act 2 she gets bugged and drop. I bugged her like that and i dont think they will fix that bug So i beat her, completed the quest but did not go to act 2 and started farming her a bit.
